インサイドフォースキャンセラーの刻印(Movie)

『子供のころは凄く好きだったのに、大人になったら物凄く嫌いなモノはな～んだ？』
私にとっては『雪』が当てはまります。子供の頃は雪だるまを作ったり、雪合戦をして楽しんでましたが
大人になってからは、車で帰れない、朝から会社の前を雪かきしなければならない・・・と悪いイメージがついてしまいました。
現在東京都国立市では雪が降り続けています。東京自体あまり雪が降る地域ではないのですがもうすでに道路は雪景色です。
明日は大変なことになりそうだなと思いながら先ほどまでIT-407CR1のインサイドフォースキャンセラーにシリアルナンバーを刻印していました。
IKEDAのトーンアームはIT-407SSを除いて全て手作業で彫刻しております。
これは創設者池田勇氏の頃から引き継がれているやり方です。
1つ1つ番号を確認して、狙いを定めて打つ。
手作業だからこそ同じ数字の羅列でも一つ一つ違います。文字間が開きすぎてたり詰まりすぎてたり。勿論失敗することもあります。
それはもう一回めっきを剥離してもう一度研磨をしなければなりません。
彫刻する瞬間は今でも緊張します。
でもこのシリアルナンバーを自分で彫刻することでIKEDAのトーンアームに命を吹き込んでいる気持ちになります。
またIKEDAのトーンアームを選んでくれたお客様へ『まごころ』を届けているつもりです。
IT-407SSはステンレスが硬すぎて彫刻が難しいのでこちらはまた違うカタチで気持ちを込めているので安心してください。
このホームページでは短い動画も載せる事が出来るみたいなので
今回は彫刻している所を録画したモノを載せてみます。
動画だと彫刻した瞬間の音が軽く聞こえていますが、実際はもっと重い音です。
